Akira's journey (Part one The start of a new story)
The sun is up in the sky.
Sunlight shone in my eyes as I woke up from bed.
I quickly dressed up and went down for breakfast. I ran out of the house and went to school.
My name is Akira,
3rd year student in high school.
I ran to school everyday and always said to myself that today is going to be another boring day like usual.
I ran into class, sat on my seat and stared outside the window thinking what I could do to change my old routine of going to school,
..learning,
..eating lunch,
..and going home.
After a while, homeroom started.
The teacher called out our names one by one. Time flew as the first period ended, then the second. It was lunch at last.
Same routine again and again.
I walked out the hallway to go to the cafeteria and find something to eat. While I was walking through the hallway, I saw a girl about the same age as me carrying a stack of books and was ready to fall any moment. I walked up to her and asked her.
“Do you need help?”
“No problem I can handle it”, she replied.
But then I walked up to her anyway and took more than half of the books she’s holding and walked with her to the library. After putting the books down, I walked out quickly so she wouldn’t notice me gone. But she ran after me asking my name and said thank you.
Her name is Haru.
She was in the class right next to mine.
She was beautiful more than anyway you can describe.
With a blush I ran to the cafeteria smiling, telling myself that today is going to be different. When I reached the cafeteria I saw the long line of people lined up to get their food ticket. When I reached the machine I pressed on the regular set menu I would take. I ate lunch and left the cafeteria going to the next class.
I was early when I entered the classroom.
There is only one girl standing looking into the sky next to the window inside the classroom. I walked up to her and tried to talk to her.
“Hi, how are you today.”
There was no reply. She just ignored me.
When the bell rang everyone was seated. She sat in front of me her name was Futami. She was the quiet type in class, she never talked to anyone. She was the smartest person in class. At the end of class she walked out of the classroom and I ran after her. I tried to talk to her again and again and she just ignored me.
I went home and followed the same routine again. I went to the store and bought a dried fish then walked on until I reached the shrine. I walked up the stairs and as I reached the top I saw a girl. I walked by ignoring her to the back of the shrine and then she shouted at me.
“It’s not good to ignore other people.”
I turned back to her. She was angry at me for some reason. I walked up to her.
“I’m sorry. Hello what’s your name?”, I said.
We introduced to each other, her name is Rin, she’s in first year high school in the same high school as me.
“What are you doing up here?”, I asked.
“I’m trying to find Chika, she’s a cat.”, she said.
I walked to the back of the shrine with her. There stood the same white cat I have been feeding everyday. I gave it the dried fish.
“Chika!”, she shouted.
“Is it your cat?”
“No, but I come to see it everyday and I always saw you with it so I named it Chika. Let’s meet tomorrow at school again”, she said.
I walked home with amazement.
Today was a different day.
