The Song from my heart (Chapter one: The Beautiful Melody)

On that day I heard Takeshi from my class played the piano. It was the melody I never forgot. It was a beautiful melody that I never heard before the song that made my heart race. I went to class and asked Takeshi if he played the piano. He asked back to me “I did once before and never will play again.” I wanted to know why he stopped playing that music but then he already walked back to his seat and classed started. The homeroom teacher called out names of all the students and then he reached my name. Yoshino, I answered “Here” I was 15 years old my name is Yoshino Harumi in class 2-A my grade were always top of the class.

After school I asked Takeshi again and then he just wandered off. Then after I went to my locker to change my shoes there were love letters as usual. I picked them up and just walked home. There was a boy who ran up to me and said to me “I love you” I didn’t know what to do because he was the first bold person who told me face to face. I said to him “Can I think about it first please” I walked home then I met Takeshi along the way home. I told him the truth about this morning that I heard him play the piano and it made my heart race. He blushed looked away and ran home.

I didn’t dare to talk to Takeshi anymore after I went to class I went to my seat everyday as days pass by. Takeshi was my childhood friend he grew up in the same neighborhood as me. Then one day Takeshi walked up to me and said “This song is for a special someone I only play the piano to express my feelings to people I love. Then before I said anything he walked away. My heart didn’t know which direction to go to. I thought I would never experience love in my high school life because there were so many love letters but. Here I was only thinking about what Takeshi said to me. I didn’t know what to say to him anymore when I look him in the eye my heart rushed. Is this what they call Love? The same boy came up to me and introduced himself. His name was Yuki and in the class next to mine. He offered to walk me home and I just plainly accepted. Before we left school he said to me “I’m sorry for rushing to conclusions I wanted to know you better before I say I love you again. But I just know that you’re the only person I can love.” So I asked him “What do you like about me why me?” He answered “Because you’re different from other people you always seem lonely so I want to make you a little happier” I blushed and looked away. We walked home together.

I went to school the next day and here comes Takeshi again. I looked down on my table and asked him “How are you today?” He answered plainly “I’m fine” He then he walked back to his seat. After school I walked pass the court yard seeing him at the piano room again. He was just sitting there looking at the sky outside of the window. I walked up to him as he looked away. He walked to the piano and started playing it again. It was a soft melody and the same effect happened like last time. My heart raced faster as I looked at him playing the piano. Did he see me or did he not, is he playing that song for me? I was not sure after I looked at him. Then after he finished playing he went out of the room. I ran quickly to entrance to catch up to him. “Takeshi did you play that song for me” I smiled a little and blushed. He looked away and answered “Why would I play it for you…” I slowed my pace down and looked at his back and his body getting further and further away from me. Then he said come-on Yoshino don’t you want to go home. I quickly ran and caught up with him and smiled at him.
